Good and Evil

To understand what is right and wrong, one must grasp the concepts of good and evil, often considered synonymous with right and wrong. Good and evil, like right and wrong, exist solely as human concepts. They always mean what the person using them understands them to mean.

However, one link to existence can be established. Humans are beings of complexity, which can be understood as order, in contrast to entropy, which can be understood as chaos. We therefore have an intrinsic tendency to associate order with good and chaos with evil.

This does not mean that chaos cannot be perceived as good or order as evil. These associations are fluid and ultimately rooted in human perception and interpretation.
